KittyGo – Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

KittyGo collects the following information to provide its services:

• Account information (name, avatar emoji) when you create or join a trip
• Trip data: plans, tips, expenses, notes, and photos you add
• Device locale and app preferences (theme, language, currency)
• Location data (only when you explicitly request GPS-based features)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To sync your trip data across devices and travel companions via Firebase
• To provide AI assistant features (questions are sent to the AI app you select on your device)
• To back up your data to Google Drive (only when you enable this feature)
• To improve app functionality and user experience

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which is protected by Google's security infrastructure. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase – authentication and cloud database
• Google Drive – optional backup (requires your explicit consent)
• AI Applications – questions are sent directly from your device to the AI app you choose (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.); KittyGo does not store these queries

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Trip data is stored as long as the trip exists. Trip owners can permanently delete a trip and all associated data at any time from within the app.

6. Children's Privacy

KittyGo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
